size of a PDF file should not exceed 35 megabytes. The number
of pages that make up 35 megabytes depends on the program used
to create the file, the color settings, scanner settings, etc. It
is recommended to determine your pdf file size by megabytes rather

To aid in the prevention of problems when filing electronically,
please consider the following:
If the total Megabyte
count of your main pdf document and attached supporting pdf
documents in a single docket entry exceeds 35 Megabytes, file
the attached supporting documents as separate entries and
relate them back to the main document entry. Exhibits can
be filed under the document event Exhibit.
If the ,
set your scanner default to black and white, as color triples
the size of the pdf. The DPI (dots per inch) should
be set at 300. The paper document being scanned must be 8-1/2
x 11 inches to avoid any errors in the uploading and/or noticing
of the PDF document.
