Fonts in Adobe Acrobat
Adobe Acrobat & PDF Files

Using  a word processor application base 14 fonts must be used. Base 14 fonts, which are preinstalled on most computers, includes Courier (Regular, Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic), Arial MT (Regular, Bold, Oblique, and Bold Oblique), Times New Roman PS MT (Roman, Bold, Italic, and Bold Italic), Symbol, and  Zapf Dingbats.

If not using a base 14 fonts as mentioned above, it is strongly suggested to embed your font. BUT, if the document uses anything other than Base 14 font and it is a BNC notice (like the chapter 13 plan) it will not notice properly.

The below will instruct you how to embed fonts. This is done only once for your Adobe Acrobat application. Click on the hyperlink for more information.

  • For Adobe Acrobat Version 7 or Higher

Quick Note

If incorrect font type on the document to be sent via BNC, it may not be sent out correctly.

You should only have to do this once and this setting will become part of your PDF writer defaults.

To verify that the fonts are embedded,  repeat the process and ensure the Embed all fonts box is still checked.
