Reports - Query

Query allows you to view a variety of information about a case, such as a list of attorneys or current status, as well as the docket sheet. After identifying the case you want, you will see a menu of choices, noted below.

Log into CM/ECF using your PACER username and password.
Click Query.
Search
- By Case Number
  - Click Run Query
  - Select the appropriate hyperlink for your query.
  - - Alias - lists aka, dba's, etc.
    - Associated Cases - lists adversary cases and member cases, if case is consolidated..
    - Attorney - lists participating attorneys.
    - Case Summary - summarizes the case.
    - Creditor - lists creditors.
    - Deadlines/Hearings - lists deadlines and hearings.
    - Docket Report - summary of filed documents.
    - Filers - lists participating filers.
    - History/Documents - lists all events.
    - Notice of Bankruptcy Case Filing - displays case summary and court seal.
    - Party - lists participating parties.
    - Related Transactions - lists related transactions.
    - Status - lists pending status.
    - Trustee - lists participating trustee.
    - View Document - ability to view a filed pdf document
    - Filing Fee - displays bankruptcy and associated adversary filing fees due and paid.
    - Claims Register - lists proofs of claims.
    - Creditor Mailing Matrix - list creditors for printing mailing labels
- By Name (upper and lower case), SSN/ITN, etc.
  - Click Run Query .
  - Review the list of cases that appear.
  - Select the desired case
  - Select the appropriate hyperlink for your query.
  - - Alias - lists aka, dba's, etc.
    - Associated Cases - lists adversary cases and member cases, if case is consolidated..
    - Attorney - lists participating attorneys.
    - Case Summary - summarizes the case.
    - Creditor - lists creditors.

- By Adversary Nature of Suit (AP and MP cases only)
  - A search for Adversary cases by the Nature of Suit is available through Query.
  - - Enter the date range, which cannot exceed 31 days.
    - Select a single or multiple Natures of Suit
    - This report is not subject to the 30-page limit on PACER charges.

Quick Note

When a name search is made, a list of cases with the same name criteria appears.

Each case displays the case number, case title, chapter, date filed, party role and date closed, if applicable.
