Access Forgotten E-Filer Username or Password

This procedure allows certified ECF filers to access their E-Filing username and/or password in the event they have forgotten or lost it.

Follow the below instructions if you forgot your E-Filer username or password.
 

1. Access the live ECF database by copying and pasting this link to your browser:https://ecf.casb.uscourts.gov/

   • Click on Southern District of California - Document Filing System.
     or

2. Access the PACER website at www.pacer.gov

3. Select the appropriate link to:

   • Access your Username

     1. Select the Forgot User Name? link, as shown below.
        
        
     2. Follow the directions as shown below.
        
        

   • Access your Password
      

     1. Select the Forgot Your Password? link, as shown below.
        
        
     2. Follow the directions as shown below.
