Access Forgotten E-Filer Username or Password

This procedure allows certified ECF filers to access their E-Filing username and/or password in the event they have forgotten or lost it.



Follow the below instructions if you forgot your E-Filer username or password.

  1. Access the live ECF database by copying and pasting this link to your browser:

    • Click on Southern District of California - Document Filing System.

  2. Access the PACER website at

  3. Select the appropriate link to:

    • Access your Username

    • Access your Password
